Research use policy

All products supplied by Helix Research Labs Ltd ("Helix", "we", "us") are chemical reagents intended exclusively for laboratory research and in vitro experimental use by qualified personnel.

Our products are not medicinal products, investigational medicinal products, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics, biocides or veterinary products. They hold no marketing authorisation from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) or any equivalent authority.

You must not, and must not permit any other person to:

• administer any product to a human being or to any animal;
• use any product for diagnostic, therapeutic, prophylactic or cosmetic purposes;
• add any product to food, drink, supplements or topical preparations;
• resell, repackage or relabel any product as a medicine or consumer product;
• use any product in a way that breaches any law applicable to you.

By placing an order you represent that you are at least 18 years old, that you are a qualified researcher or are acting on behalf of a research organisation, and that you are competent to handle, store and dispose of research chemicals safely.

You are solely responsible for risk assessment, safe handling, containment, storage conditions and lawful disposal of all material supplied to you, and for compliance with COSHH and any other health-and-safety obligations applicable to your facility.

We do not provide, and will not respond to requests for, dosing information, reconstitution protocols for human use, administration guidance or any advice concerning use in humans or animals. Enquiries of that nature will be declined and may result in the cancellation of your account.

We may refuse, suspend or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we believe the material may be intended for administration to a person or animal, for onward supply as a medicine, or for any unlawful purpose. We may report suspected misuse to the relevant authorities.

Completing checkout and ticking the research use declaration constitutes acceptance of this policy and creates a binding undertaking by you as purchaser.
